As an Elementary Special Education Teacher, I worked closely with students to understand their individual needs, and discover what inspired them. Together, we worked to exceed expectations they had of themselves, and often those around them.
While working with my students, I quickly began to observe the impact nutritional and wellness choices had to their behavior, focus, and stress management. Simultaneously, I noticed the same at home with my husband and two daughters.
This ignited my passion to experiment with different nutritional and wellness regimens, and understand the personal impact. In addition to my own research and discovery, I received formal training from
The Integrative Institute of Nutrition which exposed me to more than 100 dietary theories, and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods.
I put my learnings into practice with friends and family who experienced dramatic lifestyle changes. Their changes inspired me to launch Food for Harmony as a platform to support many struggling with creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
